The New Leaf Tea Room & Gift Shoppe

A extremely fun experience. I'm gluten free and they have a wonderful selection of gluten-free items including delicious GF desserts. Had a great time.

As I have been to high tea in some of the most famed tea houses and hotels in London and New York take my review with a grain of salt. If you've never had proper high tea I'm sure this would be a wonderful experience. This place is like the Disneyland version of a tea house, everything on the surface appears right, but nothing is quite authentic. The sandwiches were all way too salty or used a much too American style heavy hand with cream cheese, the desserts were cloyingly sweet and the scones were more dessert than tea scone. Most disappointing was the use of bagged tea with no way if removing the tea bag from the pot, or instructions provided on how long to steep it resulting a much overstepped tea by your second cup.

All of that said, it's kitschy and if you're going for the experience and not the tea or the food, you'll have fun (but it's hard to justify $30+ pp for an experience). It's a sweetly decorated place and the option to select a hat and/or pearls makes it all the more like a 'disney' experience. The shop out front is fun to browse and the baby boutique in the back is small but cute. I won't be back but I'm sure there are lots of others who will continue to enjoy this place for many celebratory gatherings to come (see the other reviews!).

I love this place. It’s charming and the people are nice. The tea and food is delicious. I have brought several of my neices age 6-14 and they love it too.

When it comes to tearooms, The New Leaf Tearoom is by far the best choice to enjoy delicious tea sandwiches, home-made miniature desserts, fresh scones, and a wide selection of unique teas. Not only is the food to die for, the experience is always memorable thanks to friendly and welcoming staff. They are always accommodating and make our experience worth the trip. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and I’m always excited to see the seasonal decorations. I would highly recommend this Tearoom to tea lovers looking for a fabulous experience and traditional high tea .
