My wife and I were here the on Saturday for dinner.
The ambiance is nice, we would have preferred a booth but they “weren’t sitting couples in booths”, although there were clearly couples sitting in them.
The table we were put at would have been nice if it wasn’t right where ALL of the servers stood as they surveyed the restarting and talked.
The food was good. It’s hard to stand out in an area where Italian restaurants are a dime-a-dozen. But Toscana does just that.
The eggplant rollatini was phenomenal. Even as leftovers. Just make sure you reheat it in the oven.
Only place that had duck. Muscle appetizer was very good. Interesting bread served . Never understood why upscale restaurants serve nice order of bread and a tiny pat of butter with it.
The Crab Bisque was delicious and had good sized pieces of crab. I also tried the White Bean Soup and it too was delicious. I am not normally fond of bean soups but I would have ordered it. Our sandwiches arrived on platters and were good. Unfortunately, I was full from the soup (it was bowl size) and could only eat half. I will reluctantly give the other half to a family member but it was so good I want them to try it. I felt the prices were reasonable, we had lunch but the dinner prices seemed standard for this type of place. I will return with my family. It is in a weird location, the center of the plaza. You really can't see it until you get out of your car. But Toscana is worth going to. Our waitress was a very nice young man- we liked him.
We had reservations for 630 and were seated promptly. Server was very attentive. Food came out hot and as ordered. We left a little after 8 and the place was packed. They are doing something right!
Had my mom's 80th birthday dinner at Toscana..
The atmosphere was beautiful...
we had a table overlooking the beautiful courtyard all lit up for Christmas..
Food was excellent..everyone enjoyed their entree..
Our waiter was great...great service..friendly and funny..even helped us carry flowers out to our car..
