I was expecting a lot of the brisket from the other reviews. It was just ok. I should qualify though, I like my brisket naked (without sauce) so I really enjoy a spicy, textured brisket. This wasn't that but it wasn't bad by any means just not my style. The cornbread was the standout in the combo. It was perfect cornbread. It was a little moist, tasty, and well textured. I enjoyed the broccoli salad too. It was just a touch sweet and was a good finish to a heavy meal.
Everything we got was delicious, but the brisket was the star. I was taking it to go and they offered to let me sauce up our sandwiches before they wrapped them. How cool is that?
Food is fantastic with a great Smoke flavor and very tender at the same time. Catering is also great. The owner is more than accommodating. I reccomend giving this place a try.
Love the place. I always order food there when having people over. The sides are awesome and my guests love em.
We just moved right around the corner & thought we’d go for a quick dinner with the kids. What a great find!! The staff was very friendly & accommodating; even the other customers were kind & had great suggestions!
There’s no indoor seating but the pavilion was really nice & clean.
I also looked them up on Facebook & they seem to post specials each day. Today was buy 1 order of Chicken Tenders w/ Fries & get 1 free. I have twin 5 yr olds, so that was perfect for them. The portions were large enough that next time I’ll have them share 1 order.
My son got a cheeseburger, that he loved! My spouse & I got different things & shared. We tried the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich & the St. Louis Style Spare Rib baskets, which came with cornbread, pickles, & 2 sides. We had the Amish Potato Salad & the Amish Broccoli Salad.
Everything was delicious, tender, & the flavors were to die for!
Our only complaint would be the drinks. My son got Lemonade, which was good, but the rest of us got Birch Beer, which was way too watered down.
We’re definitely looking forward to getting food from here again & recommend that you give it a try!
