El Manantial

Have seen this place many times in passing by but thought it was just a club/bar. A friend took me there the other night as she was picking something up for her and her family.. I was totally surprised at the selection! This place is the real deal! Servings and portions are generous and can easily be used for multiple meals. I will be going back there for sure.

Super cool place! They have all the authentic mexican stuff my mom needed for a crazy taco night. Oaxaca cheese, Mexican crema, all kinds of dried chilis. Lots of cool stuff.

The place looks like a bodega shop, but it has a bunch of booths in the back to sit and eat dinner. I ordered a chicken burrito (burrito de gallina) and a steak burrito (burrito de bistec), both of which were delicious and easily enough food for 4 meals. Eating a whole burrito at once would be a total gut buster.

Be aware that they only speak Spanish though, so it's worth brushing up on some basics of ordering en espanol.

The staff is very nice and they work hard. One of the other reviewers gave this place 1 star and simply said "sucks", so I wonder what happened with him -- I'm tempted to think he had trouble ordering, because if he had, he'd have rated it better because the food is just phenomenal.
