Johnny Longhots - Voorhees Township, NJ

Tried Johnny’s on a whim. Just in the area over night was hungry for a cheesesteak and these folks did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly. They gave us an over view of their menu and was so patient while we decided on what exactly we wanted to get. I had the Teriyaki Cheesesteak, my husband had the Fat Johnny and my son had a small pizza. My Teriyaki Cheesesteak was HUGE and so delicious! My son who’s the pickiest eater ever declared this was the best pizza EVER. My husband said his was huge, filling and great. Also before leaving we grabbed a cannoli and banana pudding. If we are back in the area again we’ll definitely be back!

The food is always amazing. I’ve tried almost every cheesesteak. The owner and all the staff are super friendly and always make us feel welcome when we come in. I highly recommend this place. You can’t go wrong with anything you order.

This was my first experience at Johnny Longhots and unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best.

I will preface this review to say, the restaurant was clean, plenty of seating/parking and the staff were courteous and polite. Unfortunately, it was the cheesesteak that was a disappointment. :(

It was a long day at work, I didn’t eat anything all day and was craving a cheesesteak. I decided to give Johnny Longhots a try and ordered the “Johnny Longhot” Cheesesteak to go and got an order of fries (Tuesday Special = Free order of fries with any cheesesteak - which was a great value that I appreciated).

Have to admit, when I got home and pulled out the cheesesteak from the box, it looked really good, but unfortunately, the taste didnt live up to the visuals and ultimately why I am writing this review. Something was off - The Steak was pretty chewy and bland. Imagine my disappointment :(

This restaurant has pretty decent reviews which is why I decided to give it a try. I recognize sometimes mistakes are made but for a first experience - it wasn’t what I expected. Unfortunately, with a 20 min drive from my home, I’m not sure I will be back.

Legit amazing cheesesteaks! I can’t wait to get back to NJ sometime and have another. Why go to Philly when south jersey is just as good. Also friendly young staff at the front counter who asked how my meal was (seemed like the owners kids). Great place and would highly recommend.

Thanks for packing the sandwich with so much meat! We loved the little area you could grab toppings like pickles and hot peppers!
