Bellevue Tavern

Even midweek, this place is hopping. You can choose to sit at the bar or a table, whatever you're in the mood for. We did both - starting at the bar, while we waited for a table. The tables are very close together, and it's loud, so I recommend this place for time with friends or a casual night out. I would not recommend Tavern Hall for a romantic or quiet night out. Being first timers, we were given a complimentary dessert - a nice touch! Some tables had children, so it seems to be child friendly.

I had the Calamari as an appetizer and it wasn't the same as when I ate there a month back, it was heavily breaded not dusted with flour you couldn't taste the Calamari. I ordered the seafood special and it had no taste, it was absent of garlic, parmesan cheese and was watery, my wife and I were very disappointed. We will come back one more time to see if it was an abnormality

Very good meal at the bar. Crab cakes were fried. Very tasty. Beer was very reasonable. Broiled seafood combo. Very good. New England clam chowder excellent.

My wife and I always enjoy our casual lunches and dinner at Bellevue Tavern.
Friendly, affordable, and clean. They also have a wine and spirits store with a good variety.
