This is an excellent, authentic 1950's coffee shop and luncheonette. Breakfasts are cooked as you ordered, plentiful and reasonably priced. Lunches are great; the soups are good, sandwiches and sides delicious and the servers, most of whom have been there for years, are the best! The place is known for its roast turkey, but go for the ambience and the rest of the menu as well.
Not a pretentious coffee shop at all. They have only one kind of coffee - the Good kind, the kind your father drank in diners like Readys before you were born! Readys is a clean and quaintly dated authentic Cafe in the heart of Ocean City. A definite must in you are in search of a classic Jersey Shore experience.

What a great little breakfast shop. Immediately after walking in, I felt like I walking into my own kitchen. It was welcoming. I sat down at a stool and had a chat with the waitress. The waitstaff and cooks enjoyed playful and funny banter back and forth which made the place seem lively. The food came quick and was quite delicious. The place could use a touch-up. Not a full renovation, but something to clean up the look a bit would really be the icing on the cake. I would most definitely come back here.
Love this place, takes me back 40 years to when my uncle ran a very similar restaurant.... the look, the sounds, love the open order window to the kitchen... even the formica-topped tables are the same! Plus great food and prices
Readys is a charming little place straight out of the 40's. The place has great food, awesome service and a timeless style. Kind of tight quarters but the old fashioned counter and the open kitchen are worth it. For me, it's a nostalgic trip back to my childhood when my father had a similar place. For a good breakfast, this place is probably the best in Ocean city. Give it a try!
