El Capitan's Taco Shack

First time there last night & we were all blown away how delicious everything we ate was!! It was presented so nicely, the selection of tacos were great - hard to decide on just two. Corn on the cob was amazing also. Live music was a real treat too. We can’t wait to go back again & again. Friendly service & very quick also.

I’v eaten here at least 20 times over the past 2 years (the first year it was located in Ocean City). I’ve had almost everything on the menu and have taken numerous friends to dinner here - everyone loves it. The owner and staff take great pride in preparing and serving fresh, authentic and delicious food. The ambiance is quaint and fun. BYO drinks and eat outside on the picnic tables or just take your order to go. You can’t find many places serving food like this so close to Ocean City. Some favorites: the vegetarian taco, the chipotle shrimp taco, the al pastor taco, the tostones, the Mexican corn, and the guac. I highly recommend El Cap.

Vanessa's new shack is really cool; same amazing tacos, but a new spot to eat before going to the beach. My family had a wonderful experience having lunch on the shaded patio. The staff was kind and courteous and the chef even came out to check in with us!

I personally love the veggie tacos. My dad loves the el pastor (pork). My daughter is obsessed with the baja fish tacos (which I actually love too). The portions are huge and we were all excited that we had leftovers for later that day after hitting the beach. The guac is out of this world. Don't go to Ocean City w/o stopping by El Cap's!

My fish tacos were awesome! The best in NJ! This meal reminded of Southern California.
