Pretty nice. Burger I ordered was fantastic. I think they would do better if they moved.
First time at the restaurant. It was very nice and our server was very sweet. We had a good time. Usually we order delivery from there and the drivers are always pleasant, however, it was nice to go there and sit down for a hot meal.
This is another great place that is very popular with the Cumberland County area. Tonight I went to Carmelo's to order a vegetarian Stromboli & side of onions rings with sweet tea to drink. The Stromboli was made with perfection.
So Carmelo’s is one of at least ten other places one can get pizza from in and around Bridgeton. I would rank them amongst the better half, but not the best of them in terms of food quality; high, though, in terms of menu variety. Now, as far as customer service, I’d rank them low. I’ve had several bad experiences there, and the staff that I’ve dealt with just weren’t experienced, sympathetic, or professional enough to handle their own mistakes. Stuff like, ordering pizza and wings for delivery, being told it’d be an hour, and by time it arrived, it was only the wings, with a haphazard apology. The community has been patronizing Carmelo’s for a long time. They really should do a lot better on things such as customer service. The “owner” is clearly committed to responding to positive reviews, but not so committed to the negative ones. That’s where you grow as a business. Nevertheless, if you want a halfway decent pizza, sandwich, etc, they’re not bad; I only recommend it being for pick-up.
