I got the seafood ziti. It was delicious but the food took forever to come out. But it was a good experience overall, I'll definitely be back but I'll probably order ahead of time to go
They take so long that my waitress was able to eat a whole lunch, play on her phone and service other people. They have to work on the crowd of people standing around on their phones. Goofing off. It's like a whole club in the back alone. The food is decent (drinks are a diabetics nightmare and too heavy on sodium with the food) but so so so much work to do. The vibes of the cooks (with no hair nets), the host, like.... upgrade it. The ventilator must not work, the air was noticeably thick. Cleanliness from the main window needs wiping to sweeping under the booths....like come on y'all. East Orange need vivacious business but we're not desperate. Potentially awesome for sure and we look forward to the improvement.
The food was delicious, I don't know how the chef gets the chicken so juicy, but I'm willing to the notes. The sauces are unique and also a tasty experience of their own.
Go early because they do run out of the popular items quickly.
The food is excellent. Period. The staff is great, from the manager to the waiting staff. Very personable and welcoming. Having been in the food industry and a fan of fine dining, I have to reserve one star for that experience. If not for that, I'd have given them 5. Well done guys, see you soon!!????
We enjoy the food and atmosphere. The food is made to order thus if you have dietary restrictions you can ask that there is less sodium or sugar added. This is not something which is advertised, however we were able to do so and it made our experience even more enjoyable knowing that the chefs were so accommodating. The salads are fresh and tasty and the catfish, as well as the salmon melts in your mouth. Watching your food be prepared as you wait provides the at home chefs, such as ourselves, a few savory tips! I hope to see some vegan options in the near future, as I can only imagine the tastiness that these chefs can create. We are very happy to see restaurants like Stage 5 in East Orange and hope to see others. There are so many fast food restaurants that the community has forgotten how to sit down, enjoy their time and await there food. A fast food joint - this is not.
