Amazing service
Crab legs were really good will return soon
You don't understand...you really don't. I am from North Carolina and got lost in Newark looking for seafood. I eat seafood, grew up near a beach and have eaten it in many countries.
Ended up at Nemo's Seafood around 8, they were about to close at 9. It was at night and the part of town looked decent enough. We walked inside and ordered the crab legs and shrimp. You don't understand, this man made me the best, succulent, clean tasting crab legs and shrimp I have eaten in the longest. Every bit of it tasted fresh and clean(not gamey), I know I have said it, but its worth repeating at least one more time.
It is an absolutely no frills place, most people that came there were coming in for pick up's. Me and my wife had the whole place to ourselves and listened to Dave Chapelle on the restaurant-s tv. We could not believe how great the food, the crab, the broccoli, the shrimp and the crab legs were and how much we got for 25 bucks. Highly Recommended spot / hole in the wall. Simply LOVED it!
I frequent Nemos on Friday nights. On this particular Friday I was given 2 very small snow crab clusters (online and previous menus state 1.5lbs for 2) that were not 1.5 lbs!(I frequent WO Shoprite for snow crabs so I know what 1.5 lbs look like). Nonetheless after checking my food in the car, I returned inside to address the issue only to be addressed rudely by the young lady working the register. She mentioned she couldn’t take my food back because I touched it(uhhh I opened the container to check my food idiot). I really try to support black owned establishments but this young lady’s lack of professionalism and customer service is what makes it difficult. A young man came from the back (after I refused to go back and forth with an idiot), did not ask questions but apologized and corrected the order. The owner should never allow this young lady to work in his business or teach her how to address customers politely and rectify the situation. So with that being said, the food is pretty good so do not become deterred by the area/neighborhood; but pray the girl with the ghetto, nasty attitude isn’t working. I will be returning to shop rite and pay more to save myself time and the headache. I’d also rather travel to Crab palace in Newark before allowing someone to speak to me crazy...
I had an awesome experience at Nemo's. Went there with a friend visiting from out of town and was not disapointed. The food is EXCELLENT. Compliments to the chef. I've been singing their praises all day. Two Thumbs up to Nemo's.
