Prime 94 Steak House and Grill

Atmosphere is great. The meal I had was ribeye, mushrooms, spinach. Amazing. It is priced very reasonable. The staff has been great...very personable.

VERY Good Steakhouse. I'd recommend it over Rare. The steaks are just as good but more reasonable prices on the menu (the menu is also very nicely diverse). Ruth Chris is still the best place "in the area" if you want superior steaks.

Beer selection was good, wine list was good, cocktails were okay.

Appetizers, salads, and sides were excellent. Highlights included the thick cut bacon, wedge salad, and grilled octopus.

Steak was okay. Ordered the tomahawk, and it came very overdone. Ordered medium rare, and 3/4 of it appeared medium well at best. Other steaks at the table ranged from okay to good in terms of how overdone they were.

The main issue is that this place placed itself at a pricepoint that made me expect exceptional but instead got acceptable. Some surprises with some disappointments mean this place was a bit above average at best, but priced way higher than that. I'd advise driving elsewhere personally, but if you aren't price sensitive at all you can get a good meal here, just not one that's worth your money.

Looking forward to going back. This is a "gourmet" steakhouse with reasonable prices for the quality of food. Super menu. The beef, the pasta, the sides, the beer were all excellent. Killer steak sandwich put together perfectly. No compromise on anything. Even the bread was excellent. The roll on the prime steak sandwich soaks up the juices and is just as heavenly as the quality steak inside it. A 20% tip on our bill was $22, but left $30 because Brock was a great waiter. His recommendations we're right on point. The pasta was heavenly and the broccoli was sauteed with garlic perfectly. Highly recommend.

Came here for a client dinner. The food we had was excellent. Perfectly cooked steaks, and tasty sides. Prices are on the high side for a place in suburban New Jersey. The decor of the restaurant is very contemporary, and spotlessly clean.
Only real problem was with our waiter. He was very kind and helpful, but maybe came over to check on us too often. He was aware that his accent made it difficult to understand him, but the real problem is that he spoke very quickly, and mumbled. Couldn't even hear the specials.

Definitely would come back.
