The Cassidy - Bar Kitchen

A fairly solid set of appetizers, particularly the pork bun. The Pretzel was really good too, and I like the ravioli that they had. The only reason this doesn't get better score was because the server took my drink order and ended up not giving it to me until I left, which wasn't particularly useful. It looks like they have a really good menu for dinner, I will stay for that next time.

Very attentive wait staff at the bar. Cocktails were very good. Awesome selection of gins and bourbons, although I will say their scotch selection could be improved, but they cover the necessities. As we had already ate before coming here I cannot comment on the food, but I'll definitely be popping in again with my wife. The atmosphere alone is worth a quick drink. Great draft beer selection as well! UPDATE: Came back with my wife and tried the food and that's great as well. They also have our favorite cocktail to date - the Flu Shot. If you like smoky GET THAT!

Great ambiance, cocktails and food. I’ve been here about a dozen times for brunch to dinner. My go to cocktail is the “upside down” which I order with vodka instead of tequila. I love their salads which are generously sized, especially their beet salad, and their cast iron chicken main. Their ice creams are home made and heavenly. Everything is locally sourced. Their service can be hit/miss but is generally getting better each time I visit. Love that it’s owned by local South Orange residents and that the owners are always there keeping an eye on things.

We sat at the bar to have some drinks and grab some food. There are some really interesting cocktails and a good list of beers as well. We ordered food off the Bar + Kitchen Menu as the kitchen wasn’t fully open yet but for a limited menu there were plenty of good options. We shared the Vegan Board, Duck Duck Duck and Buffalo Cauliflower. Everything was great including the service.

Wonderful New Year's eve 5 course menu. Staff trained to please our quirky requests, even while being slammed in the kitchen. A great place to ring in 2019!
