Mystic Lobster Roll Co Montclair

I am so glad we decided to stop in and give this little gem a try! Raj was instantly welcoming and took the time to explain the menu and give his recommendation. We went with The Connecticut Roll and it was absolutely delicious. Raj was right and he sure poured his love into that buttery roll. If you’re looking for a living and satisfying lunch and imagine you’re still getting a taste of summer, this is your spot!

Came by today and ordered food to-go for a late lunch. Plenty of street parking on a Wednesday afternoon, around 3pm.

We ordered three lobster rolls for two people since several reviewers mentioned these rolls are very small. We are so glad we trusted those reviews and orders an extra roll to share with my husband. The buns are very small, about 5.5” long, stuffed with a good amount of lobster meat. The complementary prickle and coleslaws were delicious, which is a plus!

Specialty rolls are priced at $22.99 each. They also offer three different classic Connecticut/Maine/New England style rolls, and those are priced at $20.99 each.

Deep South specialty lobster roll : love the sweet, salty, and spicy mix of flavors. The jalapeños are not too spicy, almost mild since they are candied.

King Louis XIII Slspecialty lobster roll: their aoli was the perfect touch with prosciutto and fresh lobster meat.

Italian specialty lobster roll: this roll was more of a basic roll since it was very dry. It was missing the pesto aoli sauce. Very little mozzarella cheese, better if priced at $20.99

Lobster bisque was not worth $10. There was a small piece of lobster claw and did not come with any oyster crackers.

Yukon Rosemary Potatoes we’re priced at $4.99 and we got 5 golf ball sz potatoes.

Overall, we would visit again. Customer service was excellent! We would definitely visit again to try out other specialty rolls. Hopefully without missing ingredients next time.

Amazing! I come here very often and the food is always amazing. My favorite is the BLT! I come here for lunch and it’s excellent every single time! They are not like any other lobster roll place I have been to!

The customer service is amazing here. The lobster rolls were so good. I got the Deep South Lobster and the sauce they put on it was phenomenal. The lobster tasted so fresh and they don't skimp on the lobster here. The Mac and cheese was alright here. I thought it would of been baked Mac and cheese but the texture was like liquid.

I believe the restaurant just opened this week. The staff was very friendly and the lobster rolls were good. I used the on line ordering ($1.50 “convenience fee”). It was easy to customize the order using the system.
