    I enjoyed the my chicken in garlic sauce meal. What really made it great was the chorizo appetizer, and the soup that comes with the meals. The fried calamari and salad were decent.

    The service is very good and the and the food is excellent. Make sure u come very hungry . I had tripe, delicious. My family also felt the same.

    Great place for Portuguese and Spanish food whether for lunch or dinner. It’s been here for a long time, and really a Newark local favorite. If you sit down to dine, even for lunch the owner will come out to greet & meet and ask how’s your meal. My go to is the Scallops in Wine Sauce (not on the menu) an off shoot of Shrimp in Wine Sauce. An espresso closer is a given and the flan optional if you have the room. The portions are more than satisfying. If you’re familiar with the Ironbound’s dining scene, this one is worthy.
