(December 23, 2018, 1:16 am)I might have to give this place another try to confirm my bias, but since I have the priveledge of authentic Puerto Rican food any time I visit my in laws this place seems underwhelming. The food was good, but not what I am used to. I tried the mofongo (plantains) con bistec (garlic steak) which was good, but didn't hit the spot like I had hoped. My wife had the mofongo con chicharon (fried chicken) which was also not up to par. I would still recommend this place to someone who was interested in an authentic Puerto Rican experience. It felt like I stepped out of NJ and back to PR. Very friendly, the decor reminded me of a little corner shop in Salinas near abuellas house, and the food is definately authentic to the island.
