Love, love this is soul food my man got me eating from here the breakfast hand down banging!!!!!! Grits with The pork bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese and the toast and I love their biscuits haven’t eaten lunch here yet or their dinner but wow breakfast here banging!!!!

Small little spot on the corner. There's a classic diner feel to it.. Good food and friendly employment.

This establishment is the only true soul food restaurant left in Newark now that Jae's has closed its doors. If you're from the deep south, you'll appreciate this spot! If you dislike pork, this may or may not be the place for you! Although they have items other than pork on the menu, I dont think you'll be disappointed!! My only wish is that this restaurant would add chicken livers & calf's liver smothered in gravy with onions to their menu--- wow pretty clear that I was brought up in the deep south!!! ; )

Excellent service. Great food!!! The best soul food on this side of the hemisphere. Superb!!!

Came about an hour before closing and not much to pick from, but what was available, was amazing. Had the smothered fried chicken with cabbage and rice. Side of cornbread. Really recommend this place. Great comfort food.
