EXCELLENT restaurant. Great service. Attentive staff. Food is amazing. Wine was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will come back with other friends and family. Only bad comment is my apple tart was cold...that should have been hot so I didn't enjoy my dessert.

It's our favorite restaurant for many reasons. The FOOD is always plentiful and WELL prepared with LOVE! They start you with complimentary fresh salad and warm bread including garlic bread. The rice, potatoes and sauteed GARLIC veggies are to die for! The garlic shrimp, is a MUST, my favorite is the salmon puttanesca which isn't on the menu but they will STILL prepare if you ask. The grilled octopus is heavenly tender and melts in your mouth. I can go on and on. Oh the cappuccino was the best I've ever had. It's just top quality through and through. And although it's fine dining it still feels like a neighborhood spot where you always run into a host of friendly faces and neighbors. It's by far my favorite restaurant in the state and I'm not just saying this because I lead the Shop Newark program. :-) I've been to a lot of places, and Fornos is TOP tier.

Great family restaurant with Spanish-Portuguese cuisine. Large plates which you can share, and there's sure to be leftovers as well.

After you are seated, the waiter will bring you water, as well as a bread basket and a large salad for the table. Shortly after, you're offered a menu with a variety of dishes. Our favorite is to order 1-2 appetizers to share and 1-2 entrees to share and there's always leftovers. Their white and red sangria is the best.

    Parking on the premises.

    Reservations recommended but not required.

It is always a delight to dine at Fornos. Whenever myself or a friend is celebrating a special occasion, I treat them to lunch at Fornos and just bask in their pleasure. One would think that I am the Manager! I have been going to Fornos for over twenty years and have not gotten tired of going there as there are a variety of foods to try. I love the fresh salads and garlic bread. I love the shrimp avocado and codfish croquettes as appetisers!! I also admire the waiters and the special attention given to make one feel at home at Fornos. Please keep up the ambience and great food!

Careful and friendly service, wonderful and plentiful food, this is an incredibly great restaurant. The Spanish food is true to it's roots, there are a whole list of different types of paella (I had the saffron seafood one), and there are also a good selection of. French and Italian offerings. The menu seemed priced according to others of it's high level, but it is an all-inclusive meal, including a small appetizer of Spanish olives and bread with Spanish olive oil or butter, a wonderful salad for the table, an entree of choice, side dishes of Spanish rice and multiple fresh vegetables. It wound up being a huge meal, and the leftovers will be enough for at least another full meal. Can't speak to the deserts, we were too full to try any, but the list was comprehensive and looked really good. I would love to go there for lunch to have an appetizer and desert.
