Seven Star Diner

The food was good, priced fairly and portions were above average. The service not very good, slow, unfriendly and not very helpful.

We were with elderly family members, one who walked quite slowly with a cane. The hostess decided to put us at the very furthest seats from the front door, even though seating was available much closer.

The table she gave us was too small for four adults and multiple plates of food and drinks. One of our party knocked a full cup of coffee over spilling everywhere. My wife ended up cleaning it up herself even though waitresses, busboys and the hostess walked by and noticed it. The hostess gave my wife a pile of napkins and took a few swipes at it but was gone within less than a minute. My wife was left to remove half the plates from the table to wipe the table and plate bottoms down so we wouldnt have to sit in spilled coffee.

There are allot of diners in NJ, good help can make or break an establishment. I hope the management can better train the staff to assist all the customers varying needs, even the elderly.

Good food, busy atmosphere. Lots of rooms and very high energy place, so not ypur standard diner. Pastry case is out of this world!

Love this place!! Best French onion soup I’ve ever had. I just spent some time in Paris and was looking forward to having an authentic bowl of French onion soup. I couldn’t wait to come back home and tell everyone how much better the French onion soup is here than in France itself.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu was abundant which made me wonder if they couldn't be good at all this variety. The meal I had would have fed 3 people. It was very good but that's too much food. Smaller portions maybe lower prices.

Fantastic place to have an outstanding meal. Luckily we only had to wait 15 minutes to be seated because there were only 2 of us.
Friends recommend it and we were not disappointed.
Our server only 2 weeks there was outstanding too.
Anyone going around 6pm on a Saturday night be prepared to wait but it will be worth it.
