“Awesome Argentine bakery. I come here every now and then to get birthday cakes and empanadas. Food is always fresh (or at least seems fresh lol) and workers are friendly. They also have sandwiches (which I never tried) and coffee. Only problem is parking but that’s West NY for ya 🤷🏻♀️”

I had the Hangover Cure which was a lightly toasted sesame hero with two par-fried eggs endured in a creamy golden yolk that both acted as a sauce for the bread as well as the main component on the sandwich. As if that was not enough, the eggs are accompanied with a delicious corned beef hash, aged cheddar, and smoked bacon. At first bite, I was blown away but furthered the experience with an addition of a dash of hot sauce to complete the meal. Furthermore, I had the lavish experience of the sweet pancakes. OH MY GOD….what a delight!!! The pancakes are fluffy but not too much but where the real deal is in the banana caramel sauce to cover the triple stack. It was creamy AF and delicious without being too sweet! I fully recommend 100%. The owner, Patricio, was a pure gentleman with a wonderful knack for attentiveness.”

“A week ago when Hoboken and Jersey City were hit by the hurricane it was a dismal time. When we could finally get out we were desperate to find a place to have dinner or even a sandwich. We accidentally found Oconnell's who were one of a few places open. They could not serve their full menu but had 8 items on a hand wrriten menu and apologized saying they could only take cash because of the power outages. We found it friendly and people were trying to work with a skeleton crew during tough circumstances. We returned a few days later still with a limited menu and had the pot pie which was amazing. Tonight we are going back again. Love this place and their food is excellent! I see there are two people that complained in their comments during this same time period. It was a devastating storm and you're complaining about a Coke and slow service? Get serious. This place is great!”

“My dear mother, (RIP), used to own restaurants in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and she was an exceptional cook. She had an special touch with Dominican Food that was admired by my friends and family that still reminds me about her culinary skills. Since she passed away, I miss her greatly, and sometimes I remember her spaghettis con tostones, arroz con leche, sancocho, mondongo y patitas de cerdo. Since I migrated to this country, i haven't been able to find equal flavor (Sazón) anywhere, until, by just coincidence, I was passing through Bergerline Ave, and I saw an small restaurant named El Cachetón (Kary:s Restaurant). I sat at this place and had Locrio de Cerdo with Patitas de Cerdo con tostones, and all I could think was "Ratatouille". The scene where the culinary critic had a taste of a dish that transported him to the memory of his mom cooking his favorite dish. Until now, i haven't found anything like it, the same Sazón and taste of my mother's cooking, I couldn't believe it. I spoke with the owner and his wife and told them my story, and how honored I was of eating in their new restaurant; (they just acquired the place a month ago from my visit in December 2021). I wish them the best of luck and to always have the opportunity of going back and eating there to bring memories of my dear mother once again.”

“Came here for the first time last night after hearing about it from friends, and it did not disappoint! We started off with the white sangria which was a perfect way to kick off the night, clearly was a fan favorite at my table as we kept ordering several pitchers to the table. The tapas were also just as amazing, from the calamari to the camaronês al ajillo it was all devoured instantly. Our entrees ranged from perfectly seasoned paella to great pieces of steak with endless sides. Overall, a great ambiance, great service and amazing food and drinks!
