Matt's Red Rooster Grill

Food was excellent, service was excellent as well. There were 4 of us in our party each having a different dish and everyone thought their dish was exceptional. It can get a little loud when the dining room is full but other than that everything was perfect?

Food was delicious, service fantastic and the menu was excellent.. However the 2-3 generic sides that's came with every dish left something to be desired. If you're going to create a menu that great, make the whole dish an independent concept, not a different protein with the same sides.

We had heard good things about this place and wanted to stop in for a Valentine's dinner. It was tough to get a reservation the weekend after the holiday, but we were able to get a spot. The restaurant is cozy, warm and bright, and I love that you can actively watch the "kitchen" while the chefs do their thing. The service was amazing! Throughout the night, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The calamari was the most tender calamari I've ever had (and I've worked on fishing boats - I'm super picky with my squid). My boyfriends NY strip was larger than advertised and so tender, he didn't need the steak knife to cut it. I loved that I could bring my own wine to enjoy. Erin, the owner, came over and chatted with us for a bit which was really nice. The bill added up at the end, but the quality of the food, service and ambiance was well worth the price. We'll be back soon!

What a charming experience at Matt's Red Rooster Grill in Flemington--and how gracious they were to seat us early without a reservation! Cindy was so kind and truly warm--the entire experience was pure joy! Thank you, Cindy!! You gave us a fantastic memory!

The service and food are top notch! We make the 40 minute drive just for an enjoyable evening of food and friends. You won't be sorry!
