Holiday shopping, most places in the area had an hour wait. We ended up at Lambertville Train Station with the notion that it was a gimmicky place to settle on. First of all, the parking was easy and free. "Go downstairs to wine cellar" was good advice as we found the atmosphere anything but "gimmicky". A fireplace amidst mature surroundings of large comfortable parlor chairs located within multi-level nooks and crannies provided a dining intimacy that is few and far between. We picked an open room in a tucked away corner and was surprised when we realized that the food would be served on the large round coffee table before us. The server appeared immediately presenting a simple menu and extensive wine list. The flavor fest began with flat bread served on a board with artichoke, crab and melted cheese hallowed on a crust slightly burnt. The bisque was an outstanding accompaniment with huge chunks of lobster and crab. Next, the seafood trio, lobster, crab and large shrimp, reorganized your taste buds upon sampling the three homemade dips. Finally, the baked brie platter came out and presented itself with fresh firm and perfectly ripe blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, sliced apple, dried pear along with bread and a natural honey that bore a hint of real blossoms all surrounding a rustic brie baked in a phyllo crust brushed with raspberry compote. This served perfectly as an supporting entree and dessert as well, realizing that this would be perfect for brunch which we will be attending soonest. Need I say more? Yes, the espresso was served in a large cup had a smoky flavor and rock sugar on a stirring stick. The pricing is justified by the quality and not too hard on the wallet. Leave the darling children at home and enjoy a laid back intimate dining experience at the Lambertville Station Wine Cellar for yourselves.

My wife and I have been going to the Wine Cellar for a few years now. It’s one of our favorite spots to have a glass of wine. This is always made better when Alan is our host. He is absolutely our favorite and always makes the experience the best. His knowledge of the wines and willingness to educate is fantastic. Thank you Alan, for showing us a great time.

Downstairs is super cozy. There is a few rooms with chairs and small tables. Low light and quiet, with a good selection of food and drinks. Waiters and waitresses are very nice.

This was a really quaint place. It is on the bottom level and away from all the noise of upstairs. Low lighting, fire place and calming throw back music really sets the mood. With excellent tapas and a immense wine list this really allows you to GET AWAY from the outside world for a few moments. Please go and ask for Alan who is a wonderful server and a pleasure to speak with...
