I love The Farmer and the Chickpea! Whether you're prone to loving vegetables or meats you're sure to find something to satisfy your appetite! They make all sorts of lasagnas again with and without meat and then there are the pot pies and wraps and salad and chilli's and soups and then there are all the sweets. This is a really different restaurant and the owners and staff are the best. Ya gotta try it! Oh and don't forget the burgers!
I ate lunch here today for the first time in the two years I have worked in the area. I was blown away by the service and the atmosphere from the moment my party stepped in. The food all looked extremely appetizing and I loved being able to choose small portions, as most of the items are self serve. Everything I chose was delicious (chicken soup, apple lentil salad, and a crostini with ricotta and tomato). I came here with coworkers on lunch- we left deciding this would be our main sit down lunch spot from this day forward. I cant wait to come back :)
The food is great. People helping you are really nice. The only problem is the disposable plates they use to dine in. It should be changed to regular plates
Unique fun setting, rustic tables, order from a display case of entrees or a wonderful fun display of salads and baked goods. They always have creative and healthy dishes. The vegetarian lasagna and the pot pie are house specialties. On my last visit I choose vegetable quiche, which was a marvelously bright blend of eggs, veggies and cheese. I took home the sausage focaccia, hearty and wonderful.
Would travel for this kale salad! A friend of mine brought the kale salad to my house about a month or two ago. It suddenly popped back into my mind last week, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I drove 45 minutes to get this kale salad, stocked up, and took home 2 gigantic meatballs while I was at it. The meatballs were soooo good. They inspired me to up my meatball game next time I make some. I can't wait to try more goodies next time I'm out that way!
