Ciro's Ristorante Italiano

The Italian food at Ciro's is always amazing. I've been there several times including a repast. It's a great place to go to as a group or solo. The restaurant has a cozy ambience as well.

I have only been here one time so far. Service was acceptable since we had a party of around 15 people, I would expect better if we were just a couple of people, but they did fine. It is definitely NOT something I would complain about.

I ordered the fried calamari which is only large rings, no legs. That was upsetting for me since the legs are my favorite part but not a big deal. We also ordered the mushrooms stuffed with crab meat, which I was not a huge fan of, I thought they were soggy and fell apart really easily.
Finally, I ordered the Bowties Piccante which I thought was great, that is something I would go back for.

However, I've been in the restaurant industry for years and I could not believe that when we asked for a refill on a Coke they said we were only allowed one free refill. In this case, it's about the principle that fountain soda is incredibly cheap to make but they are charging for refills. Frankly, that was the only thing that left a really bad taste in my mouth and would keep me from going out of my way to return, that is my reason for 4 stars turning into 3 stars.

Typical family style Italian. Old-school, pasta and red sauce. Lots of regulars on a Friday night. Big parking lot. Hot plates and tasty food.

We always love the place but for some reason you can't order dinner from the bar. It makes no sense. We went from 3x per week to maybe once a week for lunch so we can sit at the bar. They also removed the tables for four in bar area. I guess they want to direct you to the dining room. WE WANT TO EAT AT THE BAR. So we go elsewhere at dinner time.

Ciro's truly has some of the best Italian good around. We have had our company holiday party here for years and it has always been a hit. The appetizers are delicious and the main dishes always satisfy. The vodka sauce is among the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend for events or simply for dinner with friends and family.
