Very happy that a soul food restaurant opened so close to my parent's house! The food was delicious and service is wonderful. Highly recommend the Pineapple BBQ wings! Can't wait to go back :)

AMAZING FOOD, and outstanding Service! I was in town for meetings for work and could not find anything good to eat in this area, and this gem was just what I needed to have a home style meal away from home. I told my Mama about how good the fish was and the sweet potato corn bread... OMG so delicious!!! I would recommend.

I loved the food. It just opened 3 weeks again. I stopped by and foresee the manifestation of this business. It was a wait, but it was well worth it. I pray God sends help that is needed for this soul food business needs. I will come back. Lord bless this business, and all hands that you send in their direction.

I went in looking to try some of the new shop on the blocks goods and I have to say I was not disappointed. The BBQ pulled pork was tender and juicy and full of flavor. The owner and his mother were there when I walked in and were so polite, they were attentive and really appreciative of my patronage which made me feel good to support a local up and coming small business. I’ll be returning here as much as I can to say the least!

As a new black business it's important to understand the imprint already being left after just being open for 3 days! My experience with the new business Dootsie's Kitchen was excellent. The fish was well cooked and seasoned properly! The mac and cheese was exquisite and the mixed greens were great! On top of that the "neighborhood punch" sets the tone for originality & unique flavor. I can't wait to come back and experience the cuisine again. Amazing job!
