Surf Taco - Rutgers

good food but a little pricey, especially for a college town.

The taco was good but pricey. The queso needs serious work, not the greatest. Friendly staff though.

I had gone to the Long Branch location for years, so lucky for us the Rutgers location delivers the same level of quality and service that I'm used to.

Very reasonable prices for big, generous portions. I really can't think of any downsides, though I should mention that the price of fish tacos adds up pretty quickly. Would highly recommend the Baja Style for any of their fish tacos: corn tortillas and cilantro go pretty well with fish!

The salsa bar is a pretty strong drawing point to go here, but the prices and speed of service are also really strong incentives. Go here if you want a really interesting/fresh fusion restaurant, but don't go here if you want authentic Mexican food- they don't sell themselves that way and there are other places that do that sort of thing.

Also, their desserts are surprisingly good, even though they don't advertise them. I'd put them well above Thomas Sweet and at the same level as Cookies n' Crepes in terms of value and taste.

Absolutely loved it! Great prices for delicious food. Many options to choose from and fast service. Their sauces are so flavorful, especially the spiciest one! I highly recommend the nachos to share, especially if you sit out in The Yard.
