Dayton Diner

Classic Diner ambience with quality cuisine! Although there is an extensive menu, I opted to try some Greek specialties. I ordered the Mousakka. It was exquisite! Home made flaky crust was layered with nicely spiced ground lamb, zesty strips of eggplant, and potatoes. It was held together with a pleasant bechemel.
The dish came with a trip to the salad bar. I assembled a fine Greek style salad replete with a stunning hummus, fresh greens, potato salad, and even stuffed grape leaves.
I had the best bread pudding of my life. Perfect balance of creamy custard and angel light bread.

Nice friendly and clean with a great 60’s theme throughout. Good food great prices. Definitely a good place for breakfast or lunch especially in this area.

Quaint. Remember that word? Well the Dayton Diner fits that old fashioned word. It's small and we cut through the hotel parking lot next door to get there so it could be a bit of a challenge to get there but it's definitely worth it. Its filled with Americana (reminiscent of Johnny Rockets) but the Dayton Diner doesn't need to try so hard. The food was very good. The service was very good. Really it looked like an old time house had been converted to a diner. I found it to be a really fun time and hope to go back soon.

As far as the service goes the waitresses are great, the best!! I was made to feel welcome as soon as I entered. The place is spotless, bright and with a cheerful, old time, homey feel. And I haven't ordered anything off the menu yet that I didn't like. It's the type of place that you can go to if you are alone or a couple, even a big group. The Dayton diner offers you great food, generous portions, oldies music and a good time!!! Well-behaved kids are welcome!!!
