Thai House Rock

I’m a big fan of Thai food and always like to visit new restaurants to see what they’re like.

I came around lunchtime and ordered a pad krapow (Thai basil) and a Thai iced tea, which also came with a complimentary salad.

FOOD NOTES
- Iced tea: seemed pretty standard, pricing at $2.75 of this writing is less expensive than some places.
- Salad: standard, heavy on the Thai-style peanut sauce
- Chicken pad krapow: For any fans of this dish, note that they had a different take than I usually expect. They did warn that the chicken is sliced rather than ground. Heat/spiciness level was “medium”, which will feel mild if you’re used to very hot foods, and they provided more of the hot sauce they used on the side.

ENVIRONMENT & PARKING
...is small but cozy and really fits the “rock” theme. Big groups won’t work but parties of up to 4 may work, see the pics. Parking is also a bit strange as they’re in a small plaza but you can probably park there or on nearby street for free.

** BE AWARE **
As a small family-run place (from what I read) their hours are rather particular and they have firm limits on the last seatings for dinner. When in doubt, call ahead!

I’d visit this place again to at least try the pad Thai.

Thai House Rock is the definition of quality and exquisite flavors combined together. Genuine Thai food at a good price. Thai House Rock is my favorite Thai place in all of New Jersey. You may wait a little bit for your food but it is well worth it. I always have a positive experience there and I am always treated wonderfully. Overall the food is always wonderful and delicious, the staff is always courteous, and you always leave with the intention of returning. Just excellent!

Love this place! Cozy spot with delicious food. We went there for dinner last night and everything was made fresh to order; our meals took a bit to come out but it was SO worth it! We had the spring rolls, pad Thai, shrimp&garlic, and the chicken with cashews...everything was fantastic. Cannot wait to go back :)

Amazing thai food! No other Thai restaurant can come close!! Everything is cooked so fresh and we love seeing the owner. Super friendly mom and pop, recommend over and over again.

Best Thai food in the area! I usually always get the Pad Thai and it’s the best I’ve ever had, and I try it at very Thai place to see who does it best. This is definitely the winner! Everything is made fresh so there will be a wait. It’s a small restaurant with about 10 tables, maybe less. It’s typically always crowded and the phone is always ringing. Both are indicative to the quality and taste of the food. It is so worth the wait! You really won’t regret eating here. My biggest complaint is that they’re closed on Monday’s and Tuesday’s which just so happens to be the days I crave them the most!
