This place is definitely nice for brunch spot in Asbury Park. The restaurant is simple, hip and use cute antique kitchen ware. My food was good - fried chicken and waffle though one of chicken was undercooked. Anyway I ate more than a half of dish so I just informed the employee that it at the end of meal. Then the employee sincerely apologized as if she cooked the meal. I didn't expect anything after that though how she treated us with such manner and complementary small sweet made me feel appreciated as a customer and I appreciate their amazing customer service. Thank you!
Had a nice breakfast there during the week. I was amazed at how many people work in such a small place. I counted 8 staff. So rhe service was excellent!
I have no idea how this place slipped under my radar for so long, but I am so glad that I came across it. The food was SUPERB. Sitting out a counter can usually be a little uncomfortable, but it wasn't too bad here. The staff were friendly and seemed as though they'd help you with whatever you needed. There is absolutely no way this will be my last time in this establishment!
I must have passed by this place a hundred times before I went in. It’s unassuming demeanor on the outside belies the culinary genius inside. Now I have only been for breakfast, but the “weird hash” (a hash with seasonal veggies and sausage meat) is life changing. They have as many vegan options as they do omnivore, even so my father has no problem eating there (he’s a carnivore.) the deviled eggs are fantastic, sweet but with a kick. I’ve heard great things about dinner, but check their hours and days of operation and make a reservation. The banana pancake is not your usual fare, but delicious none the less. The service here is worth the wait, as is the food. Do yourself a favor and visit in the off season and remember these two words “weird hash.”
I feel like a fool for not taking a picture of our dinner table to add to this review but I was entirely distracted by the incredible flavor and thought that went into our appetizers, meals, and sides. Compliments to the hostesses, wait staff, management, and chefs, everything was incredible and exceeded my expectations! Thank you Cardinal Provisions for the unbelievable dinner provided to us, we will be back!
