Recently visited David Burke’s in Belmar for the second time & brought friends this time, since the first experience was very good. However, this experience didn’t turn out as good.
Girlfriend bought the lobster roll, & at $26.00 all she received was 3 little pieces of lobster , & all bread. She actually left the restaurant still hungry! If you’re going to charge that much for basically a sandwich, at least fill it! So, your customers don’t leave hungry.
On a bright note our waitress Tara was extremely nice, courteous, & accommodating .
First time here. Cool, renovated space, but loud as there was little "soft" decor to absorb the very loud dining space. We had 7:30 reservations and didn't leave until 9:45 (no dessert or coffee). The wait for food and service was long as they were clearly understaffed/underprepared in for a full dining room. The food quality was fair-good, but very pricy. The bacon clothesline was a unique presentation but $22 for 3 pieces of fatty bacon was not worth it. $30+ entrees were small. Salmon was cooked well,
but flavors were imbalanced. Wine pour was extremely small.
