    Rare has a nice feel. Hostess greeted us and sat almost at once. Server was informative about the menu and that they are open two weeks. We ordered crab meat cocktail and escargot. Both were fresh and delicious. Unfortunately the crabmeat can 10 minutes before the escargot. Mains were larger filet and tuna. Excellent. Sides cream spinach and hash browns. Cream spinach delicious a bit too creamy. Unfortunately desert has not made a significant appearance. This is a great and needed addition. Dinner with tip 150.00 worth the visit

    Fantastic presentation and service. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The quality of the food they serve is phenomenal, as well as the consistency at which they are served. The steak was tender, juicy, and delicious. Finally, a great steakhouse in Monmouth county.

    Absolutely love this restaurant. Steaks were amazing, side dishes all delicious. Margo (our server) was awesome. Neil, the owner came out to chat with us. Everything was perfect can’t wait to return.

    "Rare" is a hit. Great atmosphere and not loud when a full house. We had three appetizers and two entree's. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, well-seasoned and Heavenly. Can't wait to try the other dishes. The chef and owner Neil West is probably one of the best chefs at the Jersey Shore
