Tavern 19

Old establishment under new management with the chef who used to operate Dish in Red Bank. Haven’t been for much of the dinner food, but I’ve only heard good things to this point. Went for the bar food, football, and beer. They have a large space with plenty of TVs for watching sports with a group. Wings and other bar food was great. Will be back for more when I’m in the area.

On the Sun Eagles Golf Course, behind the old Fort Monmouth Officers Club, lies the best keep secret restaurant of Monmouth County. We have eaten here several times and the food and atmosphere are great! The chef has wonderful specials, try the peppercorn steak with cognac sauce, stuffed fresh caught fish, or the butternut squash with brown butter and sage. All delicious! There is something for everyone on the menu. The owners, staff and chef are friendly and welcoming. Every time we go back we take someone new with us, this place is a must try!

Great atmosphere. John the bartender is excellent. The food is great. Best burger I've had in a very long time. Sausage and broccoli rabe was excellent (they make their own sausage). All in all a great experience
Again tonight. John was great and had my Manhattan as I like it right away. The seafood chowder was very good and I loved the rib eye steak. I'll continue to go back

Tavern 19 is under new ownership and now open to the public! They offer a full service bar, decked out with flat screen TVs, specialty imported wines, and spectacular lunch and dinner menus created by their gourmet chef. The service is impeccable and the restaurant warmly welcomes all. The restaurant sits on the golf course and boasts a beautiful patio that overlooks the greens and often hosts a band for live music on Saturdays. This is absolutely the place to be and its charm is sure to make Tavern 19 the latest and greatest local watering hole! See you there! :)
