Fred & Murry's Kosher Deli

I have updated my last review because I think it was unfair. The owner gave a very reasonable reply that day, which was nice to hear.

The pickles, coleslaw and mustard were very good... a four.

My complaint was with the pastrami, which I found to be mediocre and more disappointing than usual because I was very much looking forward to having a great sandwich with two friends. All of us grew up with the Carnigie Deli, Katz's and The Town Hall in South Orange, who invented the true Sloppy Joe.

This pastrami is made by Hebrew National, which sounds good but isn't anything like the places I named above. It's similar to saying its Boers Head pastrami (non-kosher version). I guess these places make their own pastrami. In my opinion, I think you should go further. As they say... if you build it, they will come.

Average Kosher Deli with typical sandwiches and meals. Please was clean and busy with lunch crowd. Service was prompt. Prices reasonable with lunch menu. Plenty of parking.

A very fine restaurant/deli. The soups and sandwiches are always delicious and so are the pickles. I rate it 5 stars but if you're looking for a cheap meal this is NOT for you. $$

The BEST Corned Beef sandwich. It was delicious. My Aunt & Uncle came from another state and LOVED it. They want to come back.

My Mom & I love this place. She gets the turkey and I'm still getting the Hot Corned Beef. It's the BEST.
