NJ shore at it's more conclusive. Not really my cup if tea nor much of my crowd. Though it could be a nice relaxing place for a stroll at sunset. Overrated upon my opinion and quite loveless now during pandemic in comparison

Visited Pier Village today as a potential empty nester downsizing alternative. The community is vibrant, the apartments spacious and well appointed and you can’t beat the beachfront location. Our leasing specialist, Mariel Beach, was terrific. Informative and engaging.

This is a really beautiful beach village and I find it easy to access right off the Garden State parkway exit 105. Go past toll, stay left on route 36.
Continue on R36, make Right turn on Ocean Blvd and a left turn at the 4th traffic light. Parking is in a horse shoe pattern.

Many stores to shop from. There were quite a few restaurants there too. After many years of visiting this place, I have noticed that new bathrooms were installed and seems like new buildings went up as well. Looks even more cozy. There is even a children's carousel next to restrooms and as far as the eye can see, the boardwalk seem to have added more restaurants that continued past parking area.

Parking can be tough here, but it was easy this time around. Beach is always crowded but it was a chilly and windy day so only a few families went to picnic and chill on the sand and one family testing the water.

For the most part, many people wore their mask. It was sad to see quite a few people without theirs. I saw a group of women sitting at a table on the boardwalk next to parked cars with all the visitors walking by. It was about 8 to 10 of them but no one wore a mask.

I knew that it was outdoor, but they sat elbow to elbow. They were not social distancing so I felt that they should really have considered the mask. The table was round and that put them at face to face with each other, literally.

Other than that, the village is a safe and great place to visit, shop, relax on the beach, watch the sunset, dine, sit, stroll and hang out with your friends. It is a clean environment. Everyone must do our best to keep it that way by clearing after ourselves, especially on the beach!

This real estate development is located in and around the boardwalk area of Long Branch, New Jersey. It has a retail component, with all kinds of ice cream places , restaurants and similar high end boardwalk type stores.

I have to say, and I notice earlier reviewers have said as well that compliance with mask wearing and proper social distancing is very low, perhaps 25 percent. There are plenty of signs asking for mask wearing but little enforcement attempt.

There are two boutique hotel as part of the department, a residential part and lots more residential property is coming on line as part of the development.

Everything looks very nice and is busy in the summertime but I am sure it gets much quieter during the fall. Pier Village is not too far from both New York City and Philadelphia. Someone looking for a new home, especially a new summer home should definitely check out Pier Village.
