“Wonderful place for Oaxacan cuisine! We have enjoyed 4 meals at Los Papagallos, and have never been disappointed. Everything is very fresh with an extensive menu and attentive service. Potions are large, and all dishes are prepared in the adjacent kitchen, so you can watch the whole process from your table. The only reason for taking away one star is that the ambiance is a bit limited compared to some other places. But I tend to find that the fancier places tend to be overpriced, or seem to put less time and energy into the food. Overall this is a wonderful place, and you could always do takeout if you prefer to eat at home. A real treasure right near the overpriced and much less authentic Pier Village. Try it out!!!”

“Nice cozy spot. Cute decor. I love the fact that the ribs came out in a sizzling grill. (I wish I asked what kind of oil they used to create the sizzle because liquid oil should not be used for cooking, much less high heat as was the case) The bbq grill offered delicious pork ribs but the beef ribs were chewy and nearly meatless. The meal was served with an obscene amount of rice and a tiny bowl of black beans. Its byob and you can find a liquor store at the other end of the shoping center.”

“I've been here a few times. Excellent wine bar! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They are very attentive as well. The wine selection is excellent. The food was also great! I loved the sliders. And the happy hour menu is the best deal in town! Atmosphere is really nice. Felt like I was having some drinks at home. Very comfy and cozy place. The Ramen tots had a nice crunch to them, just wish they could be served with a sweet sauce or something. Seemed like it lacked flavor. The Bao Bun was really good, the pork inside was delicious, just wish it was served hot. We ordered the seafood and pork Ramen. For the seafood crab, there was a large chunk of imitation that was thrown in the soup that threw me off. However the shrimp and mussels were cooked well. The pork Ramen was good. Order this if you like spicy food and make sure to ask that an egg be added.”

“Kristine Harrell; I lived here for many years and watched lucky Chan’s struggle to stay up to code. One day I wasn’t feeling well and decided to try there soup you couldn’t go wrong. I loved every drop of it, nice and hot and they use real chicken ( chicken rice soup). The inside was cleaner than the other Chinese restaurants I was choosing over them. Monday came I had to have Chinese, from now on this is my place I choose to do business with!!!! Don’t sleep on them. Give them another try long branch.”
