New Monmouth Diner

I have been going to this diner over 30 years when it was called the Shamrock diner. Now the New Monmouth diner, doesn't matter what the name is the food is great. There burgers are delicious, the fries are the icing on the cake. Try the pancakes they are quite good preferably with fruit. Most of the time you are seated within 5 - 10 minutes & very clean. Good, Good, Good.

It's a pretty nice classic themed diner! Food and service have always been good every time I've been there.

Being a jersey resident my whole life, there's a ton of diners to choose from. Most places are very similar and offer a lot of the same meals. That's fine... Almost like you know what you're getting, no matter the place. I found the menu to be pretty good and the service was as well. My food was just ok. I ordered something I order all the time from other diners and know it to be a little different. Again, that's fine but this wasn't to my liking. I wouldn't blame the diner if it was just preference but it was friend and very greasy. Other places I've had it, it was grilled.

Great diner, the father-in-law's favorite, but we usually only do breakfast. The service us usually fast, and the food hot. We were not happy this visit with the timeliness of the service nor the temperature of the food. Several of our party felt their food was cold, as if the waitress didn't pick up our order when it came up and let it set for a while. We still give four stars, because every place, or waitress has an off day. We will see on the next visit if there should be any movement in the stars. The seating is comfortable and they can accommodate large parties. The bathroom was clean and wide enough for three. The staff was polite and accommodating, but I think our waitress had too many tables, as it took longer than usual to fulfill our request. We had a party of six. Overall, very professional establishment!
