The Shore Club

Doolan’s was a awesome beach resort getaway on the Jersey Shore.. I came in the winter but I could see how much more fun it could be in the summer! Pool in the back not far from the Jersey shore! The room we had was a double room which was excellent! I would go back! Fun beach hotel!!

I just left there and I already miss it allot. I stayed for 11 days in total. All around, this place is simply amazing! The women at the front desk, are some of the most lovely people I've ever come across. As I went too my toom, I couldn't believe how big it was, for the price I paid. I hate absolutely NO problems, my entire stay there. It was the most friendly, welcoming, comfortable, and pleasant place I've ever stayed. I only left due too them closing for a while. I will absolutely stay there again in the future when they open back up! Every morning, the maid or cleaning lady, always brought me fresh towels, toilet paper, sheets & pillow cases, and soap. Every morning she greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello! She also always asked if I needed anything, or would like my room cleaned. This place, I cannot say anything but great things about it. The price, the people who work there, the size, the grounds, the accommodations, and cleanliness are all impeccable. I will be back, and will refer everyone I know here! In 2019 when we started planning our 2020 wedding, we looked at several venues for our Jersey Shore reception. We found Doolan’s Shore Club to be just the right setting for the wedding we envisioned.
We were thrilled to nail down a Saturday night in late June! Everything lined up perfectly, the venue, the DJ, the bakery, the florist, the beach setting for the ceremony, Perfect!
Then COVID-19 happened. We waited as long as we could to postpone but it was inevitable. We were devastated.
Susan, the owner could not have been more understanding. We could cancel if we wanted to or change the date and the terms of the contract to comply with state laws.
Because we hesitated many dates had already been taken. After talking it over with Susan we decided on a Sunday in early October. Susan and her sister Joanie accommodated us in every way, adjusting the cost, the minimum guest count, anything to make our day special.
It was splendid! We had the run of the place. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable! Susan’s professionalism matched her sincere caring for our enjoyment of the occasion we shared with our closest family and friends. All the prevailing safety guidelines for distancing and mask wearing were enforced. Even the weather cooperated. We couldn’t get the beach ceremony but the ceremony at Doolan’s was picture perfect. The picturesque grounds and the hotel accommodations made our wedding day unforgettable.
From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to the cocktail reception to the dinner and the buffet breakfast, our guests were thoroughly impressed.

Susan was fantastic to work with! My husband and I had to re-plan our wedding within 3 weeks due to the coronavirus and we originally booked another venue. When our original venue couldn't accommodate outdoor dining, Doolan's was the first to offer! We had a beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour and reception better than our originally planned wedding. We are so thankful that Doolan's could host the wedding of our dreams.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful the back of Doolan's was. I've passed by Doolan's hundreds of times and never went in. My friend needed a place to stay, so I recommended Doolan's since it's so close to my home. My friend was very happy with her room, and the pool was wonderful! Better yet....the poolside dining felt like we were away on vacation! I highly recommend it! I plan on going back and urge people to check out the accommodations and the lovely pool! I'm embarrassed to say I'm only 1 minute away from Doolan's and never gave it a chance until now! Plus the motel rates are quite reasonable!
