Consistently great food.
Nice Columbian food place. Authentic.
TLDR; The service was okay, the maracuya juice was good but the food was mediocre at best.
I ordered chicken a la plancha with salad, this is a very simple dish. The chicken was dry, warm and chewy but the salad was crispy and fresh. It feels as though the chicken was reheated which is hard to believe for such a high rated restaurant. While it wasn’t a horrible experience overall, it was bad enough that I will not buy food from here again. The restaurant is 13 mins from where I work, so the chicken should’ve at least been warm and tender. In my opinion the food just isn’t worth the drive.
First time visiting with co-workers for lunch. A decent "hole-in the-wall" Colombian restaurant.
Pros: I tried the "Typical Colombian" under their breakfast menu, which included steak, rice and beans, corn pie, and scrambled eggs. Not bad for $9! Their portions are big! But I'm not complaining because I always love taking leftovers home to enjoy for another meal. I had asked for water and the waitress brought me a bottled water. I thought she was going to charge me for it, but she didn't! (Not sure if she forgot, or of they give out bottled waters for free, but I'm not complaining). Food came out pretty fast, especially since we were on our lunch time crunch.
Cons: Street parking is not always easy, not sure if they have a lot in the back. Also, my steak was a little too dry.
Overall, a restaurant I would recommend and revisit in the future!
Great place, clean, affordable, good costumer service, great food and well prepared traditional Colombian food. Also, they have the best Colombian aji (Hot sauce) in all NJ. I wish they sold it by jars.
