    The Gables is the finest dining and lodging experience you quite possibly could have in all of NJ. The food is absolutely incredible - fresh, local, and up there with NYC cuisine. And, better value for your money! We tried the four course tasting “small plates” and were delighted by the quality and portions of each dish. Our room was comfortable, full of character and artfully decorated. The attention to detail and care for the guests that the staff has makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Sondra the owner is a gracious host, a pleasure to talk to and artful with her business. The Gables transports you to a different time all against the beautiful backdrop of LBI and the ocean. We will be back!

    Love the Gables, had both of children’s christenings in the red room, which were quaint and elegant. I have also been to several weddings there, the atmosphere is full of love and the food is always delicious, along with excellent service! Makes you want to plan a wedding for yourself there. One of my favorite places to go for a date night, to sit on the front porch enjoying a nice bottle of wine, paired with amazing food and service.

    Simply love The Gables.. it’s a true dining experience.. from the minute you arrive and walk in a feeling of peace and relaxation take over.. Then it all just happens.. The service.. the knowledge of the food.. and then there is the food.. can’t be described..beyond delicious.. accompanied by one of their house wines.. make sure to leave room for desert...along with the best coffee....and if you are really lucky you can make a night of it and stay in one of their rooms..Attention to detail, owners are hands on and are extremely particular.. ❤️

    What a beautiful gem this place is! The service/food/accommodations are top notch! The prices are reasonable and every detail is turned out just perfectly! Will definitely be back.

    Will return again to this welcoming, cozy piece of the past. Charm in every room and the food is delicious. Rooms have the fluffiest bedding you won't want to leave.
