The Upper Crust

On entering this restaurant, we noticed a strong smell of dampness which nearly made us about turn. However we decided to give it a try and are pleased we did (didn’t notice the smell so much after a while). Really quirky decor and 50’s music, which was different from usual - must see this to understand how strange (in a nice way) it is. Waiter very nice and helpful. I had prawns in a gin batter - batter was very light and just delicious. Followed this with a steak, which was perfectly cooked with “real” chips (bliss) - could’ve eaten more of them! Also served with very lightly battered onion rings - fab (again a few more would be welcome on plate they were so good). Finished off with meringue - home made and delicious. Great food for decent price and great service - we will be back!

Wonderful place. Service is top notch (when not over busy) food is excellent. 5 stars all around.

Very nice decor. Friendly staff and surprisingly good food. HUGE menu with tons of options and the food menu is customizable if needed.
A bit pricey but not to crazy
Update: have to lower the stars since who doesn't serve breakfast menu with eggs etc on a Sunday morning when everyone goes out for breakfast?! We walk in and they only have breakfast menu on Monday??!!! Please fix this!

Number one pizza and dairy destination in Lakewood!
After numerous satisfying visits, I've become convinced that the menu is complete with five star choices. Everything is great!
The three cheese calezone is exceptional.
Service is very friendly and efficient.
I'll definitely visit again and again.

A bit expensive but very good, we had to wait quite awhile for a table, also they close a bit to early me and my family were eating and the staff came to us and said "we are closing in 2 min make sure to be out by then" all in the end they have great food and good service that's what counts at the end of the day, just make sure you call and reserve a table and go early if possible.
