The Poached Pear

My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Poached Pear Bistro. The atmosphere is lovely and calm, our waitress was friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive and imaginative and it definitely took us some time to make our choices. Everything was artistically plated and of generous quantity, perfectly prepared and served. I don't know what took us so long to try this gem at the shore. I think we have definitely discovered our favorite restaurant for special occasions.

Excellent gormet dining at the Jersey Shore! One of the finest establishments in the area. The food and service was superb. It's a BYOB. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My bf and I came here for a long overdue date night. The host greeted us and offered to hang our coats. Then, we were seated and greeted by our lovely waitress who opened our wine and told us the special. She helped make our decision easier by answering our questions thoroughly. We were given warm, crispy bread and butter to start. I typically don't eat bread but it was so fresh and hard to resist. We ordered the calamari for an app. I ordered the pork chop dinner and he ordered the crabcakes. We were pleasantly surprised at the generous portions. The pairing of the sides with the main was amazing. My dish was a 10/10 and we both ended up boxing half our meal. Mine tasted even better the next day if that is possible. I highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed.

What a great spot. If you can get a reservation take it. The food was outstanding. The service was superb. You can feel the passion the chef has for every detail of his restaurant. Cant wait to go back.
