The Boatyard

We stumbled onto this beer garden/bar/restaurant and I’m so happy we did! The beautiful location right on the water surrounded by docks is superb! While the menu is limited, the food came out quick and was delicious. For non beer people be aware that there were limited cocktails available, but it is a beer garden after all. I love an establishment with cornhole and basketball too! We left happy and satisfied.

Great, fun place right on the bay on Bonnet Island, NJ. I could tell you how good it is, but it's my understanding that by next Spring the current set-up will be completely gone and a new super awesome way better structure will be in its place! The Boatyard is awesome now, and in 2020 it will be even better!

Great place, pricey seafood but it is quality. The Lobster roll is HUGE. ???? and ????Tacos are great as well & the sides (corn off the cob) are a nice sized portion. Good looking ???? garden, lots of smiling faces, a steady flow of boats arriving and departing. They have corn hole, ???? courts & large covered areas to take shelter from the hot ???? while taking it all in. All around a fabulous addition to the LBI Region right on Cedar Bonnet Island.

Had a bloody Mary ($10) which is spicy and a Tito's cocktail ($8) which is like lemonade and not strong at all. The view is nice. We didn't order any food. We are vegan and there is a veggie burger for $13, which is pretty steep (no fries included). Might come back with visitors but not just for ourselves. A little too pricy.

Awesome experience. Fun, lively place. Basic but good food truck food. Unfortunate occasional marsh grass smell in the NE wind. But definitely would go back.
