Surf City Hotel

I have been staying on the Island every summer with my family in Barnegat Light since I was a child, but when it comes to spending time on the Island with friends we ALWAYS stay at the Surf City Hotel. Not only is the hotel right next to the ocean, but the room prices are reasonable, the bar is a great time, and the staff is extremely kind. I left my bag at the hotel during my last stay and they were so helpful in getting it back to me. We will ALWAYS stay at this awesome hotel!

The seafood was prepared exactly as I asked for it. The chef even offered a risotto cake in place of the pasta as I can not have gluten! Nice friendly wait staff too!

Pleasantly surprised at how nice they had fixed this place is now. Have to say in previous trips to this establishment years ago, we had bad experiences, but we tried it again tonight and both hostess who seated us and Hannah the person who served us were fantastic. Drinks were well done and dessert was shared and enough for two people. I am going to go back again soon. Recommend.

Porch dining was beautiful. Fresh air, beautiful flowers. We ate oysters and sushi, cold fresh and delicious! Hot seafood pot for dinner it was very good. Prices are fair, friendly service.

The live music venue is a great place for a lot of fun on a summer weekday or weekend night. The Clam Bar next door is a perfect little bar. Great service, great clientele. The only complaint me and most people I know who frequent there have is that the food is average at best (and in all honesty "average" is probably a generous statement). If they improve upon that this place is easily 5 stars.
