Shaking Crab (Clifton)

I love love the shaking hot sauce here. This is one of my favorite seafood place. The shrimps are delicious however the crab aren’t as fresh as I want it to be. This is something that they can inprove. Better and fresh crabs

1. No space to wait for your table (very busy on a Saturday night)
2. Old school phone call when your table is ready, no text.
3. No time limit on seated eaters, so some patrons are chilling at their tables for hours while newcomers wait, wait, and wait.
4. When seated, no menus or utensils until requested.
5. Some items that were ordered never even came out such as fishbowl drink, and correct nonalcoholic beverages. In fact, when wrong drink came out, the server insisted that I try it and just keep it if I liked it lol.
6. Sauce is more oily than flavorful. More seasoning and garlic is recommended for a richer taste.

All in all, I would give this place another shot for its relaxed vibe. But there are far better seafood restaurants to try within a 30 minute drive from this one.

Forget the negative comments!! This was my first time trying this place. I wanted to take my baby to a great spot to eat seafood and this is definitely it! There was a line before 5pm hit just to get inside this place. That definitely made my heart happy to know people didn't mind being out in 14 degree weather just to be the first to get a table to get in this place. To wrap this all in a nutshell...the food was great! The service was great! And the ambiance was cozy! You should definitely give this place a shot! Enjoy!

I was very skeptical going in after reading all the various reviews. Yes they do need a more experienced front of house however if you go shortly after opening you will be practically spoiled by the staff. The food was prepared with love. The beer was cold and fresh and the overall experience great. I'll be back!
