Al-Basha

A must if you're in the area and want Mediterranean food. One of the first restaurants in the area and they've survived for a reason.
Recommend the mixed platter so you can try a little of each and humus, which comes with fresh bread.

By far the best middle eastern food in NY / NJ area. I personally drive from Connecticut to have authentic dishes.
The service is excellent and the food is top notch.
You can't go wrong whatever you order there.
The owner is also the chef with many years of experience and by the way he is always on the premises greeting his customers and always open to feedback.

I have done dining in, takeout, and delivery several times over the past three year. The experience is consistent - the food is always five stars but the service is always between 1 to 2 stars.

If you dine in prepare at least 2 to 3 hours for a meal and constantly trying to find your waiter. If you take out then take whatever time was promised and add at least 30 minutes. It seems like no matter what time or what day I go to pickup I wait at least about a half hour to get the order. If you do delivery make sure to order at least 3 to 4 hours in advance, that is if they actually pick up the phone to take your order.

Yesterday (Sunday) I waited two hours on hold to place an order. I literally went to another competing restaurant, finished dinner with my family and went back home by the time they got to me. If the food wasn’t so great I would never consider this place. Alas when we are craving the food here, so long as we have a ~half day worth of time, we end up going for it (when they decide to answer calls).

Great food and great prices. All the food is in huge portions and the platter for 2 can serve at least 3. Everything has good taste and the servers are good about explaining what things are you might not be familiar with. Is good for lunch or dinner but can get very busy later at night.

If you want authentic Lebanese food with the best hummus you've ever tasted, you need to come here!! Everything was prepared fresh and delicious! Service was prompt and friendly, but parking in the area can be hard to find. I highly recommend coming here for a great meal!
