Owner and Chef Nicholas Amorates is a product of the restaurant business. Before graduating from the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, Nick and his family built what would become Gloucester County's Sandwich destination in Sewell, NJ. Steakouts became the go-to-spot for Italian style Roast Beef, Roast Pork & Chicken Cutlet. Steakout is credited with serving the Best Cheesesteak in Gloucester County. Chef Junior took his talents on the road as a chef for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida.

Nick acquired Steakouts in August 2007, and from there the rest is history! When acquired the name was Brad’s Red Tavern – The name was changed to Juniors Restaurant and finally settled on the name Steakouts Homeplate – to show customers that he brings the same quality food from his Families’ Restaurant. He quickly and enthusiastically transformed a then small town bar and Brunch location to the area’s best Sports bar and Grill. Nick, as well as Steakouts, take pride in our unique food dishes as well as a great customer experience! In the summer of 2010, the Nick was proud to open what is now known as “THE PAVILION.” This was set up to be an entertainment-centric Bar that gave customers the “Backyard Island” feel where the customer can just relax.

Steakouts has always had a talent for entertainment. The quality cuisine served in an authentic tavern atmosphere offers visitors a timeless experience over a trendy alternative. A stately fireplace and top-notch entertainment bring rich character to Steakouts’ dining room. The kitchen offers classic menu mainstays such as Snow crab legs and gourmet specialty pizzas. Steakouts is perfect for all parties from business meetings to first dates.

The Banquet Room at Steakouts’ Pittsgrove can accommodate 150 guests and features Steakouts custom catering choices. The weekend transforms The Pavilion into a nightlife destination featuring drink specials and a variety of entertainment including Live Bands!

Spent a couple if hours here this week. The bartender and server were both very nice and engaging. The beers were cold, which is always appreciated. The food is not terrific, but it's good and consistent. All in all, my experience was great

The beef kabob with a side of rice was just the right dinner option. Sat near the fireplace, very nice. Friendly staff made us feel welcome on our first visit here. The patrons near the bar sounded very happy to be there.

I absolutely live this place. The food is good along with the prices. The summertime they have live entertainment. Attention bikers : this is a great place to stop along route 40. All bikers are welcomed with open arms. They do have a strict policy about not wearing your colors inside .... Its fun place to have a cold one while out on the bike. everyone that works there is top notch with service. You'll enjoy your stop at steakouts.

Great food and service in the dining area! My only complaint is the french fries-they are not crispy. King crab legs, clams, mussels, onion rings, pork sandwiches are all TERRIFIC! mac and cheese only gets a good from me, but the high end seafood, including shrimp, cooked PERFECTLY! Never had any issues there and the servers are always on point with beer after beer and checking in to make sure you are good. I did send fries back once, and it was done with a smile. We give the food a 5 on a 1-5 scale and we are picky. A pleasant surprise for what looks like a dive bar, it is actually not a dice and a cool place to hang out. This evening we sat near the burning fireplace in the back of the place.
