Papa Vegan is the new restaurant on the block. Formerly Shakes and Scoops, Papa Vegan now offers a variety of vegan entrees in addition to desserts and bakery items. I like that they have takeout meals-to-go and have a section with standard vegan groceries. This makes it very convenient to pick up a few extra meals or snacks for the future. As far as their food goes, they were only offering some of their menu items because of their recent opening. I hope to return to try some of the other options. Hopefully, they'll have even more available on my next visit. I decided to go with the pulled pork sliders and I also go to try the chicken sandwich. The sliders were very good, though the pretzel buns were a little plain. I also really liked the chicken sandwich. The breading was great and the sauce was pleasantly spicy. Overall, I'm happy with the food and will definitely be returning.
I stopped on here for lunch today with my family. The food was fantastic. I ordered the Artichoke ravioli, cauliflower wrap, and chicken. Everything was great. I will be ordering from here often now that I know how good the food is.
I've tried this place 3 times already. All of their chicken items are super tasty, so much so that my kid stole my meal and asked for it again for her birthday. For now, their menu is a lot of burgers and wings, mac and cheese type foods but not much fresh healthy food. Agreed with the other reviews that their bum is soft and soggy.. They do have fresh juices but it's not a meal. Vegan ice creams and cakes look good but the loaf bread was hard like a brick. All in all, I'll keep trying and it looks like they will be expanding their menu. It's great to have vegan options in the area
Stopped by last week as I am trying to switch to a plant based diet. Bought the chickpeas with brown rice and tofu and spinach to go. Both were delicious and provided 2 lunches and 2 dinners for me. I will definitely go back and would recommend you to try. Gave 4 vs 5 stars because they are still in the opening phase and could not yet offer everything on their menu.
Had the fried “chikn” sandwich on a pretzel bun. Really tasty and much better than I expected! But the desserts really took the cake, the carrot cake cupcakes were delicious and the blueberry coconut cake was even better when warmed up. The mac n cheese left a lot to be desired though, it was not flavorful and the pasta tasted over cooked.
Overall I’d recommend this place for new or veteran vegans for something they may not be used to, and the baked goods are probably some of the best things I’ve ever eaten
