Canton Palace

3/3/19: My wife and I went to Canton Palace for dim sum. As always, the place was very crowded. It's a small restaurant so there are very few tables and no room for push carts. So expect to wait (or sit with strangers at a big table) if you don't arrive early for lunch. The dim sum is good but lacks the variety found at other restaurants in any Chinatown. Prices are high but they are the only dim sum joint in the area. There is a public parking lot right around the corner (free on Sundays)

Food is basic and good. Your typical Chinese restaurant. Entrees are served family style and with appetizer plates not dinner plates?! Made it hard to eat and not spill food onto the table. I'd say each entree serves 2-3 adults, so portions are good. They gave a teapot on table when you first sit down. Service is slow and inattentive. Have to keep after wait staff, I had to ask for rice, utensils, and water. Second time eating here and will go back. Don't go if you're in a hurry and trying to catch a movie.

No matter you want dimsum or regular order. Here will satisfy your taste bud and stomach. The drawback here is the space. It's too crowded, too small. Service is good too..

I loved this place and wish I lived closer! Enjoyed the special oysters that day, they were the biggest I had ever seen needed a knife and fork. Delicious and fresh. All the dumplings we had were delicious.

Great place for dim sum. Authentic food and good portion sizes. Shrimp dumplings and shrimp rolls were great. We ordered some things off the regular menu and they were delicious too. Service was prompt and attentive. We arrived a bit earlier in the morning and got a table immediately, but there was a line when we left.
