Rustic Mill Diner

Everything I ate here is so delicious. The pancakes are to die for!! From breakfast to dinner is so good. Also the bread pudding is delicious!!

The Rustic mill diner has changed so much since the new owner Nick took over. He has such a pleasant disposition. I took notice that many things have changed as well. New flooring, new menus, new machines, new food options... everything was so much more evolved. He’s bringing the diner into the next century. My waitress May was so so incredibly sweet and on top of her game. I also met Mary the manager on my visit... she was super bubbly, fast paced, and efficient. Finally My food was fantastic. I ordered from the blackboard special and had the party pancakes. Imagine a cupcake and birthday cake made into a pancake.. yum yum. My husband had the hot open roast beef with au jus sauce and he said it was excellent!!! All in all I had a great experience and will definitely be back every Sunday. 5 star diner. New owners trying to overcome years of mediocrity and lack of professionalism under prior management. They have a bit more work to do. Some examples: Glass refrigerator case "decorated" with water and Snapple bottles says we have no baked goods worth displaying. All staff should have uniform shirts including hosts... or proper collared shirt. Casual clothes are a no no. Restroom needs an eye for detail. They should take a few cues from NJ's best diners such as Top's and Americana...and they'll gradually improve.

The rustic mill is the best diner in the area. I love their HOMEMADE pancakes, yes homemade!!! They are delicious!!!! Also make sure you try their amazing new milkshakes explosions. I can’t wait to go back and have another one. The diner is under new ownership and they just updated their menu and I will be going back to try new things. Great food, clean place, fair prices, and big portions!!
