(December 20, 2018, 6:49 pm)Verde Minho is a deceptively small Portuguese churrasqueria (BBQ), bar, and dine-in restaurant. Located in the seaport area of Elizabeth, it's also a short ride to the Newark Airport.
Because it is both a churrasqueria and restaurant, as is typical with many Portuguese restaurants, it has a consistent take-out and dine-in crowd.
Their take-out and BBQ menu is also available for dine-in and consists of chicken, ribs, and steak, often served with rice and fries.
They offer daily specials, which tends to be various dishes such as paella, codfish, or pork and clams.
They make an excellent shell steak with freshly steamed vegetables, or you can even order it Portuguese style, which is served in a brown sauce with an egg.
All in all, Verde Minho is a cozy authentic Portuguese spot where you're sure to find many locals as well as a great meal. -
